The Nomis clothing brand was formed around 2000 by two brothers Mat and Andre Chamberlain, they set it up to give their snowboarding friends Nomis t-shirts, this led to Nomis hoodies but stayed local to Whistler, USA. At the same time their brother Simon was making a name for himself in snowboarding and had just been hooked up by Stepchild snowboards. By chance Simon was invited to the Nixon Jib Fest as a wild card, and turned up out of nowhere and won the contest, and you guessed it he was wearing a Nomis hoodie. Fame came to Simon and Nomis clothing over night and its grown season on season since then.
