Steam Ironing to Avoid Creases in Suits

The steam iron has proven to be a useful tool in removing wrinkles from just about any fabric. This is due to the unique design that it has, as opposed to the traditional flat iron that mainly uses its weight. With the steam iron, superheated water will allow the fibres of the clothes to loosen without applying pressure on them. By filling the tank with distilled water, the heat will be converted into hot mist or steam and secreted through the holes on the base. Technically, there are modern ironing equipment that can operate both these functions, while other dedicated appliances are only suited for a single function.

Take note that not all garments are suitable for traditional dry ironing. For instance, suits require steam ironing to minimise the time and to make efficient use of energy. It can also help if you remove unsightly lint on the garment by rolling adhesives over it before you turn on the steam iron. Make sure that the settings are accurate to effectively remove creases and crumples all over the clothes. Simply allow it to produce steam before using it, as you can save a lot of time by just doing a single stroke on the creased surface.

Furthermore, you have to lay the suit on the ironing board or just hang it in the proper manner. You may then begin to iron below the pockets by placing the iron close enough without touching the surface. Meanwhile, you can hover through the sleeves if you think creases are not a good sight. Just stretch it a bit more after you have laid it down the board if you need to iron the other side of the suit.
