James Ball Urban Photographer

James Ball is a freelance photographer who spends much of his time behind the lens, photographing within the urban landscape. He enjoys making images that have a really urban feel to them. A lot of his photographic work is based around activities that take place within the urban space. James uses both film and digital methods. His favourite subjects to photograph include; music, graffiti, skateboarding and parkour. He feels that his interests have influenced his photographic style. He grew up listening to hip hop, had an interest in graffiti art and went skateboarding regularly. He has an enormous interest in the built environment, its design and how others use it around him. James likes to try and create the best images possible with camera in hand, rather than using heavy digital manipulation.
