UK Runnings is one of the UK's leading underground UK Hip-Hop mixtape series founded and put together by Tricksta, one of the UK's hardest working DJ's on the scene. He is most famous for his production work for Wolftown Recordings and a general enthusiast of anything hip-hop! Getting into music at an early age Tricksta started DJ'ing around 1989. To date he has played venues in LA, San Francisco, Miami, Houston, Amsterdam, Cannes, Zurich, Stockholm, Istanbul, Dublin and all over the UK. Tricksta worked at his local record shop Ruby Red Records for five years before moving on to work for a number of small independent labels. He left in 1999 to start Wolftown Recordings and Rago Magazine with his business partner & respected UK rapper LATE. Tricksta's experience in the music industry now spans over fifteen years and his dedication to anything home-grown is inspirational. As well as producing and DJ'ing on radio, in clubs and doing mixtapes, Tricksta also pushes UK Rap forward as a journalist too writing for a number of magazines and websites. When it comes to UK Hip-Hop this geezer has it on lock!

Richie first explored the art of sampling using software on his Amiga 500 home computer in 1993. In '99 he purchased an MPC2000 and began making hip-hop beats inspired by De-La-Soul and DITC. As his style progressed he started collecting reggae vinyl and began DJing at reggae and hip-hop nights weekly in clubs and bars in Portsmouth.<

Richie soon garnered interest from numerous record labels, including Rob Da Bank's Sunday Best Recordings and was personally commissioned by Rob to remix Max Sedgley's "Celebrity". A Jon Kennedy remix for Grand Central soon followed. Yet more support from Rob Da Bank would come, as "Sinful" was included in his esteemed "Rob Da Bank And Chris Coco Listen Again" compilation. Richie's debut single "Heartical Behaviour"/"Ital Food" will be released in the UK on 10th September 2007 on 7" and digital download via the cool American dub label, Redbud Records.
