UK Hip hop is finally coming into it's own with the emergence of Grime. The world is standing and talking notice of UK Grime artists making UK music and talking about UK issues in a UK voice. Of course ever movement needs it's own uniform and who better than UK clothing companies to come up with the goods. On Sturban Clothing we have established clothing companies that have supported the music scene for years and emerging companies such as King Apparel, The Hemp Trading Company and Abuze London, so why not kick back and listen to Sturban Clothing (Headstrong/The Urban Shop) sponsored Mix CD from Tricksta and Wolftown records. First a word from Tricksta: It's so important to look proper these days! That's where www.sturbanclothing.com comes in!!! Fresh garms all the time, good selection and stocking all the right labels. Backing UK designers and clothing labels I really feel what this shop is about. The service is always helpful and on point and the selection is hefty! www.sturbanclothing.com all day!
The mighty Addict Clothing has been around for years now and is hot property in the clothing market. They produce a fine men's clothing range with custom camo fabrics from UK artists like SheOne, Swifty, Mr Jago and C-Law. They have produce limited collaboration t-shirt ranges using various UK graffiti artists and other collaboration pieces which have included working with Swatch, Zippo, Snowboarding Goggles with Spy Optic and a jacket with Lewis Sterling to come. Open any UK urban music magazine and you find photos of artists wearing Addict Clothing including Roots Manuva, The Mixologists, Task Force and many others.
Dope maybe a clothing company that's associated more with Skateboard and snowboarding being set up by the first ever UK pro snowboarder but like many companies the roots run deep. Through it's hook up with Aerosolik Records, Dope Clothing has built strong relationship with many of their recording artists, Carpetface and DJ Quantic, supporting them with clothing.
King Apparel started life making underwear but as things are in life they progressed and now produce a full men's clothing range including jeans, jackets and lounge suits. They have also made New Era caps their own by being one of the first companies to take New Era caps and produce all over designs on them, something that was not allowed by New Era in the USA. King Apparel support many areas of street sport and music but UK Grime is theirs, with their sponsorship of MOBO winner Sway, Wolftown's LATE and many more.
Abuze London started life producing t-shirt with design inspired by hip hop based graffiti artists, since this time they have developed and now produce a full on clothing range with all over prints that can be worn by hip hop heads and streetwear merchants alike without compromise. Abuze London are also puting back as many of these Hip Hop clothing companies do by support Jhest and DJ MK to name but two.
